Glee - Original Song episode

Tuesday nights are a lot quieter with Glee on hiatus, and that’s why the show is going to infuse viewers with an extra-long episode when it does return in April. The highly-anticipated “Born This Way” episode will be extended, so you can Gleek out even longer.

Glee comes back first with “Night of Neglect” on April 19, but that’s just a warm-up to the big episode coming in the following week. The April 26 episode, which will feature Lady Gaga song “Born This Way,” will probably be extended to a music-packed 90 minutes -- as long as FOX gives them the go-ahead.

Dancing With the Stars 12

Last week, ABC’s celebrity dancers got a free pass -- but this week, the field had to be narrowed. Someone had to become the first casualty of Dancing With the Stars 12, and the first results show of the season was tense indeed.

Host Tom Bergeron prolonged the agony for as long as possible, putting bottom three dancers Wendy Williams, Sugar Ray Leonard and “Psycho Mike” Catherwood on pins and needles. All three have received consistent crticism from the judges, but all have been extremely likable contestants. Sadly, one had to go…

Susan Lucci, soap opera Queen, recently appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the possibility that All My Children’s epic run may be coming to an end. You can hear her comments in the video above. News first broke on TV Squad that ABC was considering calling it quits on the long-running soap.

But, Lucci didn’t have a whole lot to offer on the rumors. “We’ll see,” she said of possible cancellation. Lucci also said the show has many “passionate” fans in its corner. But ratings for the show are dramatically down (34% from last year), and it’s in last place.

And that does not bode well for the soap, which has been on the air since 1970. Lucci has been with the show for its entire run.

Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, The OfficeWill Ferrell finally spilled some spoilers from his Office appearance, which will begin this week on NBC. Ferrell will be around for four episodes to help fill the gap that will be left when Michael Scott (Steve Carell) leaves the show.

“My character’s name is Deangelo Vickers,” he revealed to Entertainment Weekly. “He loves the American Southwest, and he’s just kind of in his own way going to step into Michael Scott’s shoes and try to fill them.”

Ferrell is well-known to NBC viewers after his 7-season stint on SNL. But, he had a bigger reason for joining the cast of The Office, however briefly. “I’m friends with Steve [Carell] and a fan of show, and I just selfishly wanted to do one episode with him, and they pitched multiple ones, and I said, ‘that’d be great.’” And we think so too.

American Idol began Thursday’s results show with an explanation of the Motown genre… though we use the word “explanation” rather loosely. More than 30 million votes were counted to bring the night’s results, which Ryan Seacrest hyped “may shock you.” For once, his words proved true. The male competitors wore black suits for results night, while the girls put on shimmering white evening wear.

As always, Idol peppered its results show with videos of behind-the-scenes action.

NBC just got awesome again. The Office teased weeks ago that movie star and former SNL alum Will Ferrell would be joining the series (for only four episodes), but now they’ve finally released a date: April 14. View the teaser for his episode in the video above.

Ferrell will step in to ease the sting of pain that will result from Steve Carell’s absence. The two are core members of the Frat Pack and longtime friends. Ferrell will be playing the branch manager who steps in at Dunder Mifflin when Michael Scott (Carell) steps out. Carell’s last episode airs on April 28.

It was Motown night on American Idol, and one of the most important performance weeks of the entire contest. With 11 Idols remaining, tensions were high -- for only the Top 10 will go on the Idol summer tour.

Casey Abrams chose the hit “Heard It Through the Grapevine” to start the show. The song, and the theme, truly suits Casey’s voice. He sounded amazing during his performance, which should be enough to help him escape the first performance positioning curse. Abrams put plenty of energy into his act, and much of the crowd was on their feet during the rollicking number.
